The Kove Relaunches

I could not be more excited to share the news with this internet browser that I’m typing into! The Kove relaunches! *the crowd goes wild*

A few years ago, I put together a collection of my work and I called it a magazine. It was full of mistakes and color and weird-girl-ness and I loved it. It was such a great portfolio piece and all three issues exponentially were better than the last. But ya know, life gets in the way sometimes.

And then we were all stuck at home for the past six months. I really didn’t have an excuse anymore. And it was tough to rekindle that particular workforce. I had a ton of graphic design and photography material available but writing and editing articles and putting together a magazine layout… and all the business side of it with ordering, promoting, and shipping… it takes a lot out of you.

I could not be happier! The Kove is back, it looks great (like so much better than the last three), and I have a bigger community to jumpstart my sales (fingers crossed).

So here it is, The Kove:

An irrelevant and graphic magazine created by artist and comic, Katie Orchard.

Issue #4 of The Kove follows Katie's photography as the San Diego comedy scene deals with a pandemic, an essay on Ben Franklin and pirates, and a summer playlist to listen to as you peruse the pages.
