The Kove Magazine is a collection of art, science and music from San Diego based artist, Katie Orchard. Think of it as part portfolio, part editorial on topics that interest the author. Inside, you'll find a mixture of photography, fine art and short stories from Katie, along with articles about and written by other local artists and musicians living in Southern California.
This issue contains a feature by guest writer, Felicia Williams, an article about Heather Nation and Erdis Maxhelaku, a crazy good musical duet, and two articles on some cool stuff going on in science.
This issue contains a feature on Broken Stems, an amazing bluesy-rock band from San Diego, and an article written by my mom, Mary Ellen Orchard, columnist for the Levittown Tribune, about what it was like to raise two families, a generation apart.
This first issue contains a feature on Photographer and Illustrator, Cameron Derby.
... It's going to be a super fun magazine, promise ;)
